Questions people actually ask
Does Pickflix cost extra on top of my streaming services?
Pickflix doesn't stream anything and isn't a substitute for a subscription. It helps you decide what to watch on the services you already pay for, then hands you off to the right app. The core app is free; Pickflix Plus is optional.
Do we both need the app to do a session?
Yes — everyone swiping needs Pickflix on their own phone. That's the point: you each swipe privately, and neither of you sees the other's answers until you both say yes to the same film.
Can we use it in different rooms, or different cities?
Absolutely. Sessions sync in real time over the internet, so long-distance movie night works exactly the same as one on the same sofa.
Do I have to make an account?
No. Pickflix creates a private guest profile on first launch so your swipes and lists have somewhere to live. Adding an email is optional and only exists so your history follows you to a new phone. You can delete everything from Settings at any time.
Which countries and streaming services are supported?
Availability data covers most major regions and the streaming services in them. Pick your region in Settings and Pickflix shows the services that actually operate there.
How do I cancel Plus?
Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID, so you manage and cancel them in the iOS Settings app under your name → Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid renewal. The lifetime option is a one-time purchase and never renews.
